After looking at other listings and talking with some of my friends, and dealer sales folk who I've dealt with,
I've decided that the price guide figures don't reflect reality for my NT and am changing the asking price to
$4000 and any offer will be considered. I'm not hurting for money, and would like to see the bike find
an owner that can use it as intended. I'd also like to please my bride and sell off some bikes as I approach
and pass the magic 80 YO threshold this June.

2010 NT700 VA asking $5,000 $4000 and open to all offers

Currently resides in Ramona, CA near San Diego with 5910 Miles on the ODO

Background:
Bike was purchased in 2018 from a list member in Oregon with about 4500 miles. I’d intended to use it for touring with my riding partner, but Covid, then a separated quad tendon(twice) kept me off 3 wheels for 4 years and off the NT for 5. Now that I’ve recovered enough strength to ride it, at 80 I want to move to a smaller lighter bike for distance riding and am seriously looking at the Honda NX500. My younger riding buddy just got a Triumph Tiger 900 and the Honda would complement it well.

I’d kept the NT running with frequent starts and full warmups until about 2 months ago when it’s more humid origins in Oregon and the California Ethanol created sludge and rust problems with the gas tank and fuel pump. The tank has been carefully coated with the POR 15 treatment and sports a new from Partzilla fuel pump. She’s running very well and have put a couple hundred miles since her tank surgery. I had not really intended to sell her, so I was very thorough and careful with the tank lining.

The upgrade list is extensive:
  • New Dunlop Roadsmart 3 tires installed around 8/18 and less than 1000 miles since. Always garaged, so no UV damage.
  • Valve check done about that same time, 8/18, along with brake fluid and coolant change.
  • Large lids and Bestem Pannier liners
  • Uninstalled locks for the panniers. Four keyed locks with the same key and four combination locks(I couldn’t decide) I did epoxy the latch towers and they are strong and holding nicely, as of now.
  • Uninstalled Motorcycle Larry lower footpegs. The owner had installed but had the originals which fit me much better.
  • Rox Speed FX Pivot Handlebar 2" Riser and Honda Transalp clutch cable(for length)
  • Battery Tender lead
  • Centech Fuse block installed for horn, heated grips, Stebel horn, Hyperlites, USB cable, 12vplug, GPS
  • Corbin seat installed and 2 stock seats uninstalled (I was going to get a Sargents, but a used Corbin came my way via the list.)
  • CeeBaily screen. I know they have a mixed rep, but this is not a tall screen and it’s been great.
  • Honda’s hand protector(?) option
  • Hepco & Becker Engine Guard
  • Hyperlites (fork mounted)
  • Givi V46 top case on SW Motech tail rack and mount with Admore lighting kit installed.
  • Temperature and voltage gauges installed in speaker grills.
  • Stebel air horn
  • New Oxford heated grips
  • Garmin wiring kit for Garmin Zumo 396 installed. I could include the GPS also, but would rather keep it for my Can Am Spyder. They’re a rather inexpensive $300 and a great little GPS.
  • Givi Tank lock tank bag mount installed. I have a Givi XStream 20LT that I could include but prefer to keep for my Honda NX500 hopeful replacement.
  • Fuel cap is an aftermarket. The PO had an aftermarket screw on aluminum cap, which allowed a very annoying fuel smell when ridden, so I replaced it with a pattern unit
  • Shop and owner's manuals

Wow that is a lot of work done on a low mileage machine. 4 grand seems like a great deal for someone in the market.
I hthink so. I'd just like to be able to clear out garage space, opt for a more age manageable CB500X or NX500 and make a new owner as happy as I'll be, once an exchange happens. Hope someone will be looking for a new travel partner.😊
