Does anyone know the eye to eye distance of the rear shock?

I'll post this here to avoid starting a thread ... in the service manual page 16-17 they state, "install shock absorber into the frame with the rebound damping adjuster facing to the left." Am I correct to assume there is no rebound adjuster, and they were referring to the spring preload adjuster?

I'm an old time member of this group in more ways than one.Been riding and raceing motorcycles for 60 years and I'm getting old.Isee that you have removed you rear shock to lower the bike something I have to do because the seat is just to dam wide for me.I have cut the foam on the seat but I need it lower so it does not hurt my hips. Can you send me a copy of your insturctions on how to remove the the shock...thank you dancer...kardancer321@gmail.com

Turbo DV8 - I've sent you a PM in ref to the spring compressor tools. Someone else is asking to borrow them. :)
