Camping:
Rancho Topanga Campground

This is a little different from the previous year's events as I don't have us
doing any hiking in the Guadalupe Nat'l Park this time.

However, I might be doing some hiking in Chisos Basin so we'll just see
who's interested from those that show up at the campground and go from there.

This is cross-posted from www.ST-Owners.com but I'll try to keep this thread updated as well.
Here's the thread on STO

Gonna go ahead and reserve a group site at Rancho Topanga.

We'll be in group area #2 I believe.
The cost is $10/person per night and I'm assuming 3 nights and 10 people for now.
They are booking up pretty fast so I'll send them a check to prepay for that many folks
for that many nights Thur-thru-Sat - leaving Sun.

If more folks show up they only take cash so we'll see how this works out.

Not sure if anyone here was planning on this one but it sure looks like a nice dry warm few days of riding in February in Texas...

I have my RV in Texas, and amazed at the few motorcycles I see. In Michigan in this weather you'd find it hard not to see enough to almost walk across (if you could walk on a 60 mph stream). One thing I did notice was in San Angelo the Police used what looked like ST Police for their motorcycles (I did see a funeral lead by Kawasaki too). I was across the street at the Fort Concho.

TX Total Area - 268,581 sq mi

LOL.. easier to hide a MC in Texas...

San Angelo appears to have ST1300s and 1 Kawasaki

Some pictures from the trip...

Had a nice 10.6 mile hike to Emory Peak in Chisos Basin along with some great riding and camping.
