Saturday I installed a couple of 900 lumens auxiliary lights from Superbrightleds.com. Not a bad price at $34.95 each.

They look good! I've got my Denalis mounted on the fender and have gotten many comments (back when I lived in Ft Morgan and a lot of people knew who I was and saw me riding often) about how much the LEDs made me stand out when they met me or saw me when they were at an intersection. I think having the "triangle" of light between the LEDs and your headlight is a great safety addition, especially in the daytime. Plus, it's nice to be able to see farther and with more detail at night. I've spotted deer with the combination of headlight and LED that I would never have seen with just the headlight. I've got some of the bright headlight bulbs (Phillips, but don't remember more than that) and high beams -- now that they're adjusted right -- and the Denalis throw a lot of light down the road.

The Sox look nice and spare you a lot of bug scraping.

I'm just asking out of curiosity; don't those lights get the bejeezus shaken out of them being mounted that way?
Just asking

First I purchased the Shock Sox on Amazon.com.
Second the lights should be fine. I had some 700 lumen lights mounted in the same location and they did just fine.

Mine have been mounted that way for about 114,000 miles. There's nothing much to be shaken in an LED light. They don't have filaments.

Not sure if this answers your question but, I used a longer bolt and covered the exposed threads to some aluminum spacer. Everything else came with the lights.

I mounted lights by taking off reflector and mounting thru that hole of bracket that holds brake hoses. First week in Dec, right side bracket broke. So ordered new ones, then welded gussets in corners to prevent anymore breaking.
