DRSL cameras are wonderful but susceptible to damage from jarring on a rough ride. What do you fellas and gals do to protect your cameras during rides?

Mine is retired. A 16mp cell phone has taken its place. When I did haul mine around it lived in a foam lined aluminum case that just takes up too much space on the bike unless your just going out to take pictures.

If you are concerned, go to a good camera store, you might pay a little more but they should know what the photojournalist are carrying. You can buy a Pelican case or similar also. I have not carried a SLR since my Nikon F1 (man I'm old) and my Pentex 6x7. Both long sold, and forgotten. I know both listed below (or very similar) have been carried on rides by guys I talked too. I can not get use to a phone taking pictures except a quick shot, I still carry a non SLR and and find it works for my use now a days. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bK5AaffvDQ8

I wasn't aware that they are that sensitive. Much more so than a film type SLR? Our Nikon's have held up well over the years with camping, boats, motorcycles, etc.
