    Funny NT story

So there I was at dealer X in town Y looking at brand Z motorcycles when I spied a used red 2010 NT. I asked the sales person what they wanted for it. She said $5400. She said that hesitating. She asked me, since it had been in their dealership for quite awhile, what I thought it was worth as she knew I am an NT pilot. (we are both aeroplane pilots so that helps build trust) I told her the low miles of 3k were a plus but the paint was a tad faded indicating that it had sat outside for awhile and it had a few serious scratches and no obvious farkles and that I would be surpised if they got over $4,000 for it. She immediately got on the web and changed the price to $4400. Someone owes me a steak dinner!

Ya, there is one at the Honda dealer in Duluth too for $4,499.
It has been there for at least 3 years.

Seems odd these motorcycle dealers are not more aggressive in moving out dead inventory. Surprised the don't have auctions like they do for cars.

I agree Warren. I've watched a few auctions during the 5 months it took to sell my NT and they were selling for somewhere in the $2K - $3K range. If they were below $2K they "no saled". But I think most of those bikes found their way to auction for a reason (something was wrong).

    Re: Funny NT story

The Harley dealer that I traded my NT into is planning on auctioning it at/thru a powersports auction located in Cincinnati, Oh. near the end of August. The local Honda dealer, (right next to the Harley dealer) had a used 2010 with only 404 miles on it for over a year before they sold it. Probably the biggest reason they would not take mine in on trade.
All states I have ridden in since 1967, on 35 motorcycles.

Being an NT owner for only two years and 30k miles.

If I had the resources. I would love to buy a couple of these NT's sitting at dealers.
I would buy them and put them into storage until my current NT wears out and needs replacing.
