Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated

Phil contacted me to see if I was still around--Truth is that I am. I have been busy since Spearfish redoing my house inside and out. It bears no resemblance to its former self. It was good therapy following a very nasty divorce that lasted entirely too long.

I missed most of the riding season because I could no longer get my leg over the bike. I toyed with the notion of getting another bike with a lower profile like an Indian Scout, but decided to wait and see where the physical therapy went. I put my heart and soul into the PT and can now painlessly straddle the NT. I got that bike just where it did everything right and would have hated to part with it. Th PT paid off---surgery on that tendon is no longer in the offing. Doc suggested that in addition to PT, I should take up Yoga. I don't know that I am the type who would burn incense and drink herbal teas---just kidding. I like my coffee strong and black and in large quantities. I decided that I will try yoga.Wonder if I can do yoga while listening to country music? Willie Nelson and yoga. Doc has not steered me wrong yet--I mean, this guy did a total hip replacement on me, and the strongest medicine I needed was Tylenol. This guy is good. ( VA Hospital, Togus, ME)

Fall riding here in Maine is beautiful. The air is crisp and you can smell the Balsam--in my case, also the salt air. The traffic is much reduced because the tourists are gone as well as the "snow birds". Overall, it is much mellower--no lines in restaurants, and an overall much more relaxed pace. Spring and Fall are by far my two favorite seasons. Downeast the leaves are at peak or slightly past peak for color. Here on the coast, they are starting to change.

I promise that I will be more in touch on the forum.

You are SO right! I don't think that the bod is meant to get into those positions. Will keep trying.
