Have been looking for a low mileage or new NT to add as backup to my silver NT that has 178K on it now. Now its in garage and can swap over everything once I hit my goal of 200K on silver in about 9 months.
Treehouse joined this August to sell his bike. Ad was "new old stock",he bought new, ony put on 508 miles. Trip to NY was 1,280 miles, 22hr 10 min. with 1 hr 15 min at his house loading. Now with 2 IronButt saddle sore 1000, I have an Iron Butt in truck for this trip!!!

I have plenty of experience with silver, its really fast, i'll be sad to ride ol' red. the extra pigment slows you down!!

No ABS either although I am not sure if you had it on you silver one. In any case it was a good pick up. What are your plans for Silver when it hits 200K now that you have a replacement for it ? Use it as a parts bike or sell it ?

You could always swap the Red ones drive train in to the Silver chassis. I'll bet that would be a lot simpler than trying to move over all the ABS mechanical and electrical stuff...:rolleyes1:

will sell it. might sell it to my son, that would be his beginner street bike. engine wise, still running good, has never had a code pop up. might burn oil from top of mark to bottom in 8K full synthetic miles. excellent I think.

silver no ABS, red no ABS, don't need ABS

If the NT is going to become a cult classic, is this how it begins???

Brad
YES!!! to only few select people. I had 2 PC800 too. gave up trying carbs, went to NT with FI. RED NT will give me another 6.5 yrs if I keep up mileage. then I will be old!

close but no cigar,,,,,,2007 with wimpy V6. bought new
Wow, I didn't know that they offered a V6 at that time in the 1500s. Also, the "Coke Bottle Bottom" taillight was typically used only on the 2008 & 2009s.

Bummer on the V6 being "Wimpy".

My 2500 Cummins would pull out a tree stump at an idle. :)

Either way, CONGRATS on getting the replacement NT.

Considering the rarity and the amount of them sold. Kind of like its predecessor the Hawk GT650.

There fewer of them out here in California when the mid-west. NaTalie was the only one for sale within a 100-mile radius in my area. I found tons of them for sale in the mid-west.

They must all be in storage here in the Midwest then. I've had mine more than 5 years now, 20k miles, still haven't seen another one on the road. I guess at this point if another one is spotted I won't know what to do. The quest continues.....

cONGRATS ON YOUR PURCHASE. yOU CERTAINLY HAVE ENOUGH MILES OF YOUR RIDING ROUT TO KNOW THAT THE NON abs WILL WORK WELL FOR YOU, SO IT IS A WIN WIN SITUATION. I STILL THINK YOU COULD SE ANOTHERE 100k ON YOUR SILVER ONE WHILE THE RED ONE RERSTS GRACEFULLY IN YOUR GARAGE, EXCEPT FOR A SUNDAY RIDE TO KEEP FLUIDS LUBRICATING ETC. jUST A OLD FOGGYS THOUGHTS.

I wuz hoping that you'd continue to ride Ol' Silver so we could find out just how long an NT will last. Based upon what you have done so far, Traveller is just getting broke in at 86K miles.

Man, you are livin' the DREAM! I only have a paltry 25k on my red 2010 and I have no plans to sell it.
And I am shopping for a third bike.
It would take the introduction to the market of an amazing middle weight sport tourer to make me part with her, and only because of space/upkeep/insurance/licensing costs.
How many times did you check the valves on the Silver one and how much did they vary? I am not amazed that a GoldWing goes over 100k. It amazes me that an NT will go over 150k.
