I just don't get those... I'd rather get a miata.. would be better in just about every category.

Totally agree. How about a Miata with a Chevy LS engine. Supposed to outperform the Cobra 427.

Those are pretty expensive... just a typical stock miata is a lot of run.. that whole drive a slow car fast vs a fast car slow.. however, in your case it's a fast car fast LOL

Yep, it is all relative. I thought that 50 mph was pelnty fast enough in my '49 Chevy with a tired motor, weak brakes, lousy steering, and bald tires. But I only paid $5 for it (and it had $3 worth of gas in it).

I wouldn't consider a Sling Shot unless they took about $20K off the price tag. It would be fun to drive (not "ride" - as in "riding" a motorcycle) someone else's. Besides, I'm too old to look right in one of those.

    Re: Polaris Slingshot

I still think about getting a Slingshot. The problem is we already have a 2017 Mustang EcoBoost convertible with the "Track Pack". I cannot see where I'd have anything tangible to gain with a Slingshot over the Mustang. The Mustang gives me more power, better handling, more comfort (A/C and heated and cooled comfortable bucket seats), seats four (At least if you really dislike someone anyway! ), a huge trunk, and has a power top that opens or closes in about 10 seconds. Then add in that my Mustang ATGATT is sunglasses and a baseball cap...

The logical side of me says the Slingshot, or any three wheeler, is a serious step down from the Mustang in every category...but I'm still drawn to the darn thing....

Have 4.5 Miata's and would love a slingshot and wish I could afford a Morgan.
