    NT700A and ST1300A Rider

Glad to find the NT Owners Forum. The ST Forum has been a valuable resource for helping maintain my bike and I'm sure the NT forum will be very useful as I just purchased a 2010 NT700VA to use for more local trips rather than trying to maneuver the ST1300 around town.

Welcome the NT forum! Glad to have you join our relatively small group, compared to the ST Owners forum.
I am also a member of the ST forum. We also have an affection for Joe (Mellow).......

Welcome aboard and greetings from SoCal.

I am also a former ST1300 rider, which I traded it in to get a Zero SR. That did not work out for me and I got the NT700V to replace the Zero. I've had NaTalie for a little over 2 months now.

I had a longtime crush on the NT700V starting back in 2010 when they came stateside. At the time I had the ST1300 and did not see the point of having 2 bikes that were that similar in type.

The ST1300 is a great touring bike, not really meant for short trips/commuting or city driving. Quite honestly the ST1300 was a "Pig" in LA's traffic. This reason helped me to look to get something else.

The NT700V is a great bike at home on the highways, city streets, canyons and the twisties. I have not found any situation where this bike had any shortcomings, at least for me. It is a great bike and choice for a replacement of the ST1300. I always find myself grinning ear to ear when I ride on NaTalie.

FYI, I am probably the youngest member of this forum that rides an NT700V. Just to give you an idea of my age, I was in diapers during the Gas Crisis of 1974.

Good to have you with us in NT-World! If you'd join us in Spearfish in late June, you'd get to meet some of us who are NT owners and some of the ST owners as well.

    Re: NT700A and ST1300A Rider

Welcome to the forum. I sold my NT to an ST rider who wanted someting samller and lighter for local riding. This is such a good forum that I still hang out here even though I defected to riding a Tiger.
