New topic/debate on tires:
We all know the OEM size for the rear on the NT is 150/70/17.
Would a 160 be OK ???
The only way you can try the new Dunlop RS III is the get the 160/70/17, and I am interested

Thoughts?

I think the 160-series tire will just barely fit. I'm going to go with the Michelin Pilot 5 when I get around to replacing the PR4s that I've got now. I'll probably do that before I go to WV for the May Rally there and the Eric Trow Stayin'Safe road course the following weekend.

There was a recent thread on another board about tyre width and the conclusion was: stay with stock unless it's for a very particular purpose.

Clay, I was faced with the very same dilemma regarding the Dunlops. I compared the specs and found that the size wasn't that much different and installed a 160 RS III last fall and haven't looked back. I have about 4K miles on it by now with nary a problem.
