The saddlebag latch system is one issue, other than that the bike has no serious issues.

This forum has multiple posts addressing the issue.

Watching this video helped me with tips on properly closing these saddlebags.

I bought mine with a little over 16k miles and now I am over 18k for sure. I have not had any issues with it in the last 3 months I had it. I ride it to work doing about 60 miles roundtrip daily. It's a good and solid motorcycle and has not let me down in various riding conditions. This bike is Honda's multi-tool.

    Welcome,
I would figure on reinforcing the luggage latches but otherwise just look for obvious issues of abuse like laying on it's side.
Actually we have had enough NT's fall over here while stopped someone coined the acronym SAD, stop and drop. Mostly that is just cosmetic also.

Just don't pay too much. Dealers are asking premium for NT and you should be able to find one for about $3500 or less.

Shawn, Welcome to NT-World! The NT is a great bike. I got my 2010 ABS model (in "Superior Silver") after riding a couple of '99 Kawasaki Concours for 165,000 miles. I'm at 125,000 miles on the NT now and it has done all I've asked of it. My biggest problems have come from faulty maintenance procedures by mechanics at two different dealers. I'd buy another one if something happened to the one I've got now.

You should look for the same things that you look for when buying any used motorcycle.

If service records are available that's a plus.

How many miles on the current tires. At 18,000 miled its probably on its second set of tires.

When was the battery last replaced.

Does it show signs of every being dropped.

Is it stock or does it come with accessories.

    General condition

Parked in a garage or outdoors.

Were the splines greased at tire change.

I could go on and on but I think you get the idea.
