Unfortunately even the polycarbonate ones will crack as referenced above by KazooST who had his SlipStreamer crack. SlipStreamers are a Polycarbonate shield. Depending on the situation I use either the stock shield, a CB+2 or a SlipStreamer. I primarily commute on surface streets where my low average speed puts little stress on them.

I guess I lucky, my +2 tinted has been on for 4 years and still good, even after the lay down last July. I hope it last for a while longer. I think if and when it breaks, I'll use a National or just put the OEM back on, in case it a time when I am too old to ride (90 maybe).
