Not sure if this will work or not but will on most everything else . Spray a cotton rag with WD-40 and wipe it down .

I melted some plastic on pipes long ago and got most of it off by letting it cool then scaping with a plastic scaper to not scratch the pipes. Then start with other solvents etc to get the rest.
Good luck,

Brad

My bike was attacked by something on the way home from WV last month. It made a steady beating sound as if I had a totally deflated tire but I never felt anything in the handlebars or the seat and just as suddenly as it started, it stopped. When I got home I looked all around the bike thinking I'd find remnants of something but whatever caused the noise was 100% gone.
