Engine stuttering at times, suspect water in fuel. Tried syphoning fuel however no water was visible. It may be that the water (if that is the problem) is in the lowest part of the tank. What is the procedure in sequence to to completely empty the tank?
Any comments would be appreciated.

No need to empty the tank, simply add a litre (quart) of methylated spirits to your tank. The methylated spirits will blend with the water and then the blended mix will be burnt with the fuel.

There is a water test paste that can be purchased you put a application of it onto a wood stick and insert it into your fulel tank, it will change color and show you if water is in bottom after bike sets over night etc, I used to have to use it when driving fuel tankers to test customer tanks for water before unloading a load of fuel, diesel or gas.

Engine stutter can be the plug caps as well - cheap and easy to change to NGK ones (or similar)

When folks on here mention "plug caps" are they meaning changing the spark plugs or the plug wires?
