:yr1:  :wine2: Congrats Phil. I strongly suspect that there is more to your 1.1 mile commute than meets the eye. Most preachers I have known do LOTS of running around AFTER reporting to work.

Congrats Phil! You will have the 100k award by the end of your and Rick's "Epic Ride"!
At the rate I am going, it would take me 8 to 10 years just to get to 50k miles!

Congratulations Phil. Fifty Thousand??? My bike will have 50 thousand
in about 15 years. I just turned 850 miles on mine. Its "kinda" the same???
I admire your passion to ride. When you get on your bike, it must say to
itself, "Oh no, not AGAIN"!!! Hope to meet you next year, if possible.

Joe

I'm guessing I'll be at 85-90,000 miles at the end of the Epic Ride.

Mike, I knew what you meant! Absolutely no offense taken. Thanks for the acknowledgement...

I'm getting to the point where I can't remember anything. I vaguely remember that I had a 25,000 mile marker... It was actually sometime during the week of June 19-25, 2011. I bought gas in Crawford, NE, on my way to Hill City for the 1st-Ever NT National Rally, and had 212 miles on that tank and the odometer was reading 25,249 in Crawford.

So my mileage accumulation has slowed down a bit this year, but it'll go back up next year.

Phil, that's a lot of butt powder.
As you have said before here, WITH OUT PICTURES IT DIDN'T HAPPEN, LOL. So let all of us see what it will look like when we get there, lets have a pic of your speed-o.

Any idea what you spent on gas?

MAC, I posted the pix over in my 50,000 Mile Sticker thread, but I'll post 'em here, too.

I've got 41,271 miles of that tracked on Fuelly.com and I've spent $2,578 on that part of my mileage, so $.08/mile. So, right at $4,000 for fuel. I'd guess I'm at about $1400 for tires and $2000 on service, for a total somewhere in the neighborhood of $7500. So somewhere around $.15/mile (not counting insurance and depreciation).

At that rate, transportation costs for the Epic Ride will be about $3700. Cheaper than I could do it in a car, even though I wouldn't expect to spend that much on tires and service on my car. My car (a '99 Buick Century) does have about 160,000 miles on it and I suppose it could give me a really big, bad surprise on service costs at any time. It's a good car and will last me for a long time, but it ain't as much fun!

Thanks, guys! Now help me get rid of some of these 50K stickers before I start buying 100K ones. :)
