Hello. Looking to raise my handlebars a bit and without lengthening any cables. What's the max rise and what brand would you guys recommend? Thanks for sharing.

Many folks raise their bars 1" without requiring lengthened cables. I bought a pair of 1" bar risers (Motorcycle Larry, a brand not available anymore) and was not comfortable with the tug on the clutch cable. So I purchased a clutch cable for a Honda Transalp, 2" longer than the NT's, for about $24 I think, Honda part #22870-MAB-620. I haven't installed it yet.

Others can chime in on their riser preferences.

I bookmarked this thread and may go with different handlebars instead of risers:

Raising the bars here is common, and using the search function will yield you quite a bit of info.

Another forum member found and recommended these: (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N7GBZOK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I recently bought a set of them and installed them on my NT. No longer cables required, though I did encounter a bit of an issue with the front brake line. Removing line from retaining clamp took care of the problem. The line just needed to be relocated in the clamp, but without removing a lot of plastic, I didn't have enough room to maneuver; removing line from clamp was do-able. And the cost beats any other risers I've seen ($22 versus $60).
