Battery Operated GPS

Garmain makes some hand held GPSs that have longer battery life, but smaller screen. I not sure if they can do routing as a car type gps or not, but they do have some abilities to help with.

IMHO just hop on Amazon and buy any Garmin or TomTom that is $150 or less and has lifetime maps. Like Daboo said, the battery will be good a couple hours and if you find you need to use it longer you could always just wire it up to your battery or add a usb port on the bike to plug it into.

Why battery powered? Most GPS units will last for a couple of hours without charging. Plug it in when on the bike.

Do you own a smart phone? If so, get one of GPS apps for it. OMSand is free. The others range from $30 to $50. Battery power is good unless you keep the screen on all the time (they will still give voice directions).
