[Review] BILT Trackstar Leather Motorcycle Gloves

I picked up a pair of these from cyclegear. They are normally $59 but go on sale for $29 occasionally. The leather isn't overly thick but the knuckle guards are quite sturdy. There doesn't seem to be any ventilation so we'll see how they hold up for the Arizona summers. Seem good for the 40 to 85? weather thus far.

The stitching on the left glove for the knuckle guard does seem to "poke" at my knuckle but the other side is fine. Only discovered this while doing a daily commute to work. Can probably remedy with some investigation. The fit feels fine with a size up (L). Normally I would handle a medium.

I've only riden around 50 miles straight with them. No long hauls yet. They do make the throttle hand yern for a stop after that time but this may be to the fact they are still "new". They do offer a nice curve though.

Overall for $29 I'd give them a B+. If your looking for a longer "sport/track" glove with knuckle protection this would be a viable cost effective option.

Keep in mind that most of the BILT stuff is made on the same production lines as the SHIFT gear and others.

So after about 3 1/2 months I completely blew out the fingers on the right index and left pinkie. It seems as though my hands just rubbed right through the material. I will be going back to cycle gear and file a bit of a complaint. I'm just glad I paid $29 and not the $59 or more they normally are.
