Bleeding rear brakes

I replaced the front brake hose with a longer one so that I can raise the handle bar. Does the rear caliper need bleeding also?

Also is bleeding a brake on a bike the same procedure as on a car?

The service manual explains the sequence that the brakes should be followed. Chapter 17 page 17-7 to 17-12 explains the brake maintenance and bleed sequence.

To be the safest use the bleeding procedure in the manual. It has you go back and forth several times. The proportioning valve can make it more difficult to get all the air out.

If you only replaced the front brake hose (likely since the purpose was raising the bar) and the rear brake line going to the center puck of the left front caliper was not disturbed then the rear should be fine as is. The front needs to be bled from the front master cyl on the handlebar only.
