Dual Sport Tires - How many have them fitted?

I was wondering how many have fitted dual sport tires to the NT to allow frequent excursions onto gravel roads. Not looking for heavy duty off road types, but allowing me to go on gravel roads without any (major) concerns. The frequency would be about 85% paved/15% gravel.

There are very few 17" front dual sport tires available. Those that are, aren't particularly long lasting. You don't need dual sport tires to ride on a gravel road, so given that you're looking for only 15% usage, putting them on would not be cost effective.

My wife is from Tillsonburg, so I'm familiar with Ontario gravel roads and friend of mine rides them frequently on his BMW RT with street tires.
