I guess it's a good thing I bought that NC...because otherwise I'd have bought this thing, and then have no end of problems trying to get it sorted...

The NC is a better choice for the fact of parts availability and the EFI. Sure you do not have a shaft drive. If your NC has a center stand the chain maintenance will be a lot easier.
