Engine stutter/miss?

WVRider beat me to it. The spark plug caps (NGK VD05F) are cheap. At 66,000 miles and diving in to check the plugs, you can change them anyway. I would be tempted to not even look at the plugs, unless they are way beyond the routine replacement period. If they were not firing due to the caps breaking down, they will exhibit fowling symptoms. They should recover.

The caps are a recurring theme on the UK sites. It is a bit damper here, so electrical faults appear more frequently. Without specialised equipment, it is not possible to test them. In effect, they are consumables.

They are so inexpensive so why bother to check? WVRider said he paid $24 from his local dealer. :)
