The oem topcase mount is constructed such that the mount moves freely to the left and right about 1/2 inch. Anybody know why?
When I first installed mine, I thought I had done something wrong in the mounting.
Then it dawned on me why the grease at these mounting points.

I didn't know we were supposed to grease the mounting points? I got my bike and top used without instructions. I guess I will start lubricating the mounting points. I assume silicone spray is OK?
The installation instructions had a small grease point icon at these mounting locations.
It would be fairly easy to miss.
A small shot of silicone lube would help.
