I called a local dealer here in Charlotte yesterday and they said they had just gotten a 2012 Black/ABS in. I asked him to go and double check. He came back and insisted it's a 2012 and not a 2011. I told him about the rumors that their would not be a 2012. He still insisted it was a 2012 NT700V Black/ABS.

Can I assume it was really a 2011?

Since Honda hasn't announced or listed a 2012 I'd suspect it is a 2011. The MSO will clearly show the model year, have them fax it or read it to you....

Surprised to see an ABS 2010 N700 on the showroom floor yesterday at Hinshaws Honda in Auburn, WA. Thought the 2010 ABS Models sold off.
