Hey, how's it going today? Are you up and running yet?
I've been a zomby all day. I don't know why.

I don't know why not, you own them. I have never tried to use a plug type repair kit on a dismounted motorcycle tire, I don't know if it will "feel" the same as when mounted on a rim, there will definitely be more flex I would think...

It doesn't feel quite the same, but it's useful practice. At the IBA National meet in Denver, one of the guys had several old tires and a drill. He'd drill a hole in the tire and then let you practice. Reaming the holes out so the plug or gummy bear would go in was hard with the flex, but all that means is that it'll be easier on the road.

The start and finish of this ride had a few rough edges. ATM closed. Caught every light. Job calling to ask me to come to work. No restaurants open in the Casino. That was leaving. Coming home Rick had his flat tire. Still, it was a beautiful ride and a great day. Captions at the pictures tell the story. I hope to go back before it gets hot and take a lot more photos.

I was impressed with the compressor. I question how long the motorcycle battery can operate it

I've used it on battery alone to air up my tires. The times I've fixed flats (once on my Concours, once on a buddy's Concours, once on the NT), I just started the bike and let it idle.

I've got an SAE two-prong plug running to the battery and a matching plug on the compressor. I also can hook my battery tender to the same plug. I've got it zip-tied to the rear shock preload adjustor knob shaft.

Wow! What great pictures! I'd forgotten, Rick, just how bright a Hi-Viz 'Stitch is before it gets dirty. I also like the black ballistics. I think that the silver ballistics show more grunge than the rest of the suit put together. I wish I'd beenn smart enough to order black.

Glad you were able to stop OK!

I'm sure the dealer would give you back the tire - they have to pay to dispose of them so it's money in their pocket if you carry them away. However I would just go ahead and try every tire repair kit right now - you are in the comfort of home, you have the real thing to experiment on, and it's not like the tire can get any flatter. :)

Even if you can get it to hold air, you should probably replace it - it is likely damaged from its adventure.

Great pics!!! Gosh, I wish I could have been there!! Next time don't schedule a ride on the day I have to be at my RiderCoach update. Otherwise, I would've been there!:rolleyes1: At least I got to ride there; it was sunny with a windchill of 16 degrees:eek1: I can't wait to get out of here.

We drove to New Orleans in 2004. My eTrex registered some below sea level readings around Lake Pontchartrain. Kinda creepy. At least it was dry where you guys were.

I WILL make it out there on my NT someday! We WILL ride to Death Valley!!!:wave1:
If you make it out here with the NT, we'll certainly show you some of the best spins around.
