The CB500X is a good looking bike. Congrats!!!:woohoo:

I wanted DCT at the time and the NC700X was best option for me. Also I do a lot of SoCal freeway riding. Another reason to go with the NC700X. 7-years later I don’t regret that decision.

Enjoy your ride…

Nicely done...your bike looks great. Gators are a nice practical touch. I have the same windshield deflector, and use it on 3 different bikes. It's a major improvement on all of them. That 500 engine is a peach of a motor.
Have fun!

Looking good Wendell. I have been wearing a Helite air bag vest for several years now and like wearing a helmet I would feel naked without it.

Great looking machine. It looks like Honda upgraded all the cb500 platforms for ’22. Upside down showa big piston fork , dual discs, abs standard, updated instruments, lighter wheels and swingarm.D248611A-1D4F-4136-9BB1-8C23ED77ED33.jpeg241127A9-4FA7-4EE4-8240-41969763DD9E.jpegE91800B0-48D1-42FB-A7B3-C0BFB07C9915.jpeg8C9415FA-BAB6-4FAD-9733-DFA13178F465.jpegEDD94B6E-8F5D-4468-A673-6FDA70FB8AF0.jpegCE407DE0-489B-4909-A428-E2AD0A17562A.jpeg

Rich, Hahaha!!! You've got a keen eye and got me on that one :) But of course it was only for the photo shoot - you don't think that I would actually go out on I-4 with just street shoes, now do you............... :)

I appreciate everybody's comments and encouragement. I loved the NT700V - especially the wind protection and the shaft drive. However, the lousy latches on the panniers were another story. So even though I wasn't happy about how far out the CB500X side cases stick out, I absolutely love the fact that they are top loading. Another issue was It took some experimenting but I now have no helmet buffeting at 80mph. I also installed the Scottoiler xSystem and so far so good. I have most all the bells and whistles on it and is such a delight to ride except for one area and that is the OEM seat. The seat causes me to slide into the tank which gets old after an hour ride. My NT had a Corbin seat and I know that you either love or hate a Corbin seat but the one on the NT fit me fine. So I bit the bullet and my new Corbin seat for the CBX is suppose to arrive at the end of this month. Will the big bucks I paid for it be worth it????? I'll let you know.

Love the yellow bars! Did you pet the fuzzy cattle?
Thanks. The bike looks really sharp with the yellow bars. With the matte black paint, the bike looks sort of like a bumble bee. I didn't see any fuzzy cattle. Just a LOT of RVs before I turned east.

I just sold that bike last week to a gal who is thrilled with it. She hasn't ridden since her Honda Ascot died a few years ago. It feels so great to enliven someone's life like that.
