I’ve been itching’ to hit the road, so I packed up and left home this morning. From just south of Gallup, NM to Page, AZ was 350 miles of smiles in Navajo Reservation country.

The new ‘Stich worked well, although no rain, or cold. Tomorrow on to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, with a night at Demotte campground. Hoping my 30 degree sleeping bag will be enough.

Not very many turistas here. Looks like most of the big houseboats for Lake Powell are in dry dock for the winter.

Big change in weather today. Nice morning from Page, Arizona to Marble Canyon, then a cold rain on to Jacob Lake.
I couldn’t find a room, so grabbed a campsite at Jacob Lake CG.
After setting up the tent, I rode Hwy 67 46 miles to the North Rim, Grand Canyon. More rain, cold and windy. The ‘Stich passed the test with flying colors.
After seeing the forecast, I’m going to head home tomorrow instead of going back to the canyon in the sunshine. They say a good chance of SNOW by Monday or Tuesday. Bye bye Arizona!
