I have a 2009 Honda Fit Sport and a 2010 NT700V, both 5-speed manual and both RED of course. Does anybody happen to know if the oil filter and/or drain plug are the same on both of these vehicles? I know I've read about some folks using the same filter on bike and car, but I can't seem to find a definitive answer on this one. I'm getting ready to order some filters for the Fit, and I may as well stock up if they are the same. I know I could just check, but it will be a while before either of them needs an oil change, and they probably won't need it at the same time.

Here's one way to see. The Mobil1 M1-108 fits the bike; Check to seeif that works on the car and if so, voila!

I think the Fit oil filter is too tall for the NT and might get pinched by the center stand. The NT filter might physically fit into the Fit...and may even work fine.....but 100% correct filters are cheap compared to.... "well, I won't (be able to) try that again." The price difference is pretty small, $4.

I have an orangey 08 Fit. Wife likes it, good.

The filters for Honda autos are definitely taller than those for the Honda motorcycles, because I have both in my garage. As someone has mentioned, the taller filter could be damaged by the centerstand when it pops back into place.

Thanks folks! I guess that's what soundtechguy was talking about in that video. I appreciate the help!
