Just thought I would report how this ended up working out. For about $600 I had a local dealer do the 24k check at 32k which is the first time the valves had been checked, the plugs replaced, and the air filter changed.
The Readers digest version is nothing much to report. One valve a little tight. Mechanic said he had seen worse air cleaners and nothing to talk about on the plugs.
While he was at it he changed the coolant and the flushed the brake fluids plus other little checks.
I will not complain over the cost. I appear the be about $1200 or more ahead for the experience.
