Why not here? (Valadero)

I don't keep up on bikes to a great extent. I was cruising the internet and found ...

'One of the worlds finest touring motorcycles, the Honda Varadero.
The first Varadero models appeared on the roads in 1999
Powered by a re-tuned version of the 996cc V-twin Firestorm sports engine the Varadero has proven to be powerful and reliable.
For 2003 the Varadero received some major changes. These included the move to fuel injection and the addition of a 6 speed gearbox and a new dashboard. These changes benefited the model with better torque and fuel consumption.'

Above paraphrased from the UK Varadero website.

Except for the chain drive this looks near perfect to me. Another 300cc, +/- 30 more HP, 6speed, weights almost exactly the same as the NT 700. Ok, so add another 25-30lbs for a shaft drive ... it would all be low CG mass so not too bad ...

Why isn't Honda importing these to the USA??? Should I move to Europe? What's the true airspeed of an unladen swallow? :)
