Ummm...Ride???
They get paid to like it. Seriously. One of the motorcycle magazines had one of their editors review a bike and he gave an honest opinion, that wasn't too flattering. He was fired.
... Life requires a 3 bike minimum.
I can get by with one
Will do a dirt road. Good in twisties and good at high speed highway.
Don't ride in real dirt.
Plus a truck and trailer to get one of 'em to/from the off road.
well, sure. As i said, you can do most things with most bikes, but you won't be happy doing some of them. Even the porcine nt will do a dirt road. Heck, even a scooter will do dirt road. Back in the day, john penton would ride his bmw from ohio to florida, put knobbies on it, ride (and usually win) an enduro, then ride it back home. What'sizname from ontario rode his old eldorado over to labrador and did the translab on it. Some nut did the translab on his scooter. Yer a geezer, so you appreciate that stuff. But this is the modern age, with more focussed equipment. Jim needs a tiger. I'm trying to help him out here. You shouldn't discourage him just cuz you can get by with a no-generatin' italian garden implement! We need to stick with our brothers, here!

they are probably still riding more than I am so I'm nothing but jealous.
See what the owners have to do to make the bike livable and especially if they want to "tour" on it.
A taller windshield and a custom seat. The same thing most people do on an NT.
