How to fix shifter

A friend is getting my unridden bikes back in shape (I had a serious m/c injury and still cannot ride)and while taking my NT700V out for a spin the other day the gear shift fell off. How do we put it back on and did some part disappear?

Likely the bolt #14 broke off...

#14 is usually the culprit when the shifter falls off.

Yup. Just ordered from Partzilla. Oh, and I ordered a couple of 3s and a 15 as well, cuz I figured they'd be necessary.

While at it I'd clean and lube the brake pedal + shifter pivot as well as the rose-joints with marine grade grease...

Dragon Lady, just out of curiosity where in Austria were you born? I too was born in Austria; Vienna. But it was a long long time ago.
