I went on a short camping trip the week of 7 Dec last year. Had been wanting to see the sites in Goliad, Texas - where some of the most fierce fighting in the Texas war for independence from Mexico took place. Also wanted to try out the small tent I had bought. It turned out to be too short - I touched both ends while laying on my cot. Bought a Coleman 2 person Sky Dome, which is still easy to pack and long enough for me. Goliad is little more than hour from home. Only downside to this park is it's too close to a highway and trucks make noise 24/7.
