Waiting for spring..........

Spring???? Well, it is on the way. We've gained over an hour of daylight so far. So now the sun is just low at noon not very low. Still pretty cold though. We got up to the low single digits today. That's the first above zero we've had in about a week. Forecast is to get up. to 20. by Sunday. So spring is coming but there is s till plenty of winter left.

I usually ride some during what I refer as the winter dulldrums, but haven't been on the bike for about two weeks.
The roads are clear and it's supposed to warm up in the in a couple days.

Winter here in ARK also. Roads are snow packed and icy. I haven't even been out in my truck since Saturday.
Maybe more normal by end of next week.

What defines “winter”? The weather or the calendar? My goal has been to get out riding by April 1st. (No connection with April Fools Day). But I haven’t made my goal for the last few years. Getting the weather, road conditions, the motorcycle, and the rider all ready at the same time is hard.

I used to be able to get the bike up and running in a couple hours. Now it takes me that long to clean out the shed enough to roll the bike out. And another couple hours to clean up the garage/shop to work on the bike. Then it takes me longer to prepare in the bike. All that together with interruptions is an entire day or more. Did anyone here ever lose a wrench they had in their hand less than 5 minutes ago???? Well, that just keeps getting worse. 🙁

Some nail it to the calendar - I see it as what the weather is. South Texas winters are always shorter than North Dakota winters. And yes - wrenches tend to walk around.
