Yes, he was/is my nearest (NT) neighbor. He lived in Eau Claire WI.

Didn't meet anyone at the table or make it to Spearfish for a rally. FalconAF - Rick, just joined spyderlovers.com and is looking at buying a Spyder. I added him as friend already and commented on his post about buying. good to see him getting back into motorcycling. its a good time to buy a spyder, lower 2019 msrp, and with Ryker coming out now, dropped prices some of Spyders

I camped at the Devils Tower on July 11th, 2014 with the family. I also ran into a guy riding a Red NT700V a few days earlier at the Sioux Falls KOA in South Dakota. I got a chance to talk to him briefly and get a close look at his bike. He said that he was going to a rally or coming back from one. I remember he had a Scottish accent. He claimed that he came down from Wisconsin. My pictures tell me that I was there on July 8th.
My rig is the white Ram in front of the Springdale with the Devils Tower as the backdrop. This KOA played the movie "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" every night, weather permitting. It was cool to watch the movie with the mountain behind you clouding up.

I'm glad to hear that! I talked to Rick around Christmas time and he said that he was making progress. I'm thinking that after the damage he did to his neck in his wreck, it's a really good decision to move to 3-wheels instead of going back to two.

dark means no chrome wheels, areas around floorboards, accents on panels, etc. its a little cheaper, but looks nice

It was in the summer of '18.
I cannot be 100% certain that was him as I did not get the name of the rider when I spoke to him. I saw the bike coming into the KOA when I was out walking the dog with the wife outside of the campground. On the way back, I went out of my way to find the bike and rider to talk to him for a bit about the bike. I was interested in the bike, I had an ST1300 at the time. All I can remember him saying he came from Wisconsin and his accent.
I was hoping one of you could confirm you had a rally about that time. I would have been cool if you guys there at the Devils Tower while I was there for the 2 nights.

I don't remember the exact dates, because I didn't make it to Spearfish in '14. Joanne and I were moving from Ft Morgan to Greeley during that time. But the 11th was a Friday, and that's always been a good day for folks from the NT/ST-Owners group to ride to Devil's Tower. The 2nd week of July was also kind of a default date for the Rally until Corvette owners and a big art festival decided to take over our time there.
