I haven't tested this yet , but if there had been an accident, the camera has a vibration sensor that locks the video so it isn't overwritten.

The Garmin Dash Cam 35 I use in our motor home also has that feature. You can test it by giving the camera a good slap.....

Looks like a good idea. I noticed the GPS antenna, does it imprint lat and lon, speed on the video/images?
