It's been less than a month after the Climate Change folks have been exposed for some <ahem> questionable papers. Now comes forth the University of Oslo (Greta's backyard" to announce that half of the earth is cooling much more rapidly than the other.

Imagine the consequences! Tourist visits to Tahiti will be restricted to the summer months of June, July and August. The Coyote can visit the Asian babesi n their igloos and go bobsledding in Malaysia. Australia will become the new winter haven Mecca and replace Austria and the Italian Alps as the next site of the winter Olympics. The Coast Guard will need to station ice breakersat Pearl Harbor to keep the lane of commerce open. The invasion of Taiwan will become much simpler for the ChiCom's after the Strait of Taiwan becomes frozen over. Why, the ChiCom's are probably already cloning Artic Cats and SkiDoo's for their invasion force.

If nothing else, it provides fodder for discussion amongst us Olde Fartz until springtime arrives.........

The article is about heat from the core of the earth, not from climate.
Right! I didn't mean to imply that the cooling was related to "climate" as we currently understand it being related to anthropogenic causes. I suppose though that one could make an argument that even though the cooling is not being brought about by mankind's activities it is still nonetheless "climate change". My point in posting the article was to point out that we have just been told that climate change as we knew it may now not be so bad it it was once thought, science has now come up with something new to worry about.

The dumbing down of American is most evident in the slow decay of substantive content in the enormously influential media, the 30 second sound bites (now down to 10 seconds or less), lowest common denominator programming, credulous presentations on pseudoscience and superstition, but especially a kind of celebration of ignorance

Mr Sagan was indeed prescient in his forecast of the dumbing down of America. The 20th century belonged to the United States. It appears that the 21st century ultimately belongs to Asia......
