HI everyone,
This is RedNigel ( Clay Parkhill) I have been away for quite some time due to some technical issuse I have had with this site. My fix was to create a new profile and use a different email address. I hope this works.

This post is just a test to see if I am back in the fold.
I have a lot more to say but I don't want to waste my time if it doesn't work

IF someone could reply to this post to let me know im back, that would be great

Hi everyone

This is Clay Parkhill (formerly RedNigel) I have been gone for many months due to a glitch of some kind where I could not navigate NT-Owners no matter what browser I used and no matter what device I used. So I just created a new "Me"...New Trooper
Reason for the new moniker being, I have traded my NT after 91,000 miles and many great trips
I am now the proud owner of a brand new 2024 Vstrom800RE; black on black
The bike is a delight to ride; she gobbles up freeway miles effortlessly and is right at home in the canyons and on the ridges. Comfortable as well.

I got lucky on the price and lucky on the trade as well...
Two months after I got the Vstrom I was at the dealer getting a service. My salesman came over to say hi and told me they had sold my NT to a couple out of Austin. One week after they bought the bike, the stator and other allied parts went out, costing the dealer $1600 to fix (they only gave me $1500 LOL), so the timing of my purchase was spot on. If that had happened while i was still riding the NT i would have walked away from the bike without fixing it.

Anyway, its a great bike and i will be glad to answer any questions about it

Congrats on the new bike. Enjoy it.
You are a little behind though. We are almost to new year 2026 and you are buying new 2024 stuff. Enjoy 2026 on your 2024.

I bought the brand new '24 in Oct of '25 because it I got it for $3k off MSRP. There are still 2024s sitting on showroom floors all over the place
