Every time I click on any of the Menu items I get this message. I use the menu, especially Home, to navigate the site and having to wait with this message, "Please wait while your request is being verified...", is becoming tedious...

I think this is because the new provider is much more aggressive at trying to prevent bots. I've noticed that I often can't get connected at all with my VPN on. With your connection coming from Europe, it's likely trying to verify you're not one of the bot heavy countries. And since http (and https) is stateless, it has to check a lot. So I'm guessing it's beyond Mellow's control.

Easy enough to drop a cookie verifying you've been checked and you are logged in and have it expire after a shortish period (15-30 minutes).

The other thing this new hosting does is lose your posts and you have to re-post them :(

Could as well be within your ISP's setup/handshake...
I've had that "need VPN to connect" on ST-owners for a while when at ze GF's place with her UMTS access point (3/Hutchinson), while having absolutely flawless access from home (Magenta/Telekom DSL) or the office (A1 DSL)...

Unfortunately, that would defeat the purpose. It would have to allow the connection and spend the resources to read your message. They are likely redirecting you to a service that evaluates your connection before sending you in. The purpose is to make the site uninviting to bots because it's too expensive to keep trying and they won't get in anyway. Done well, it's close to invisible to the end user. Done poorly and you have your experience.
