Rear hugger??

I have not seen any discussions regarding that on this forum but on the UK forum there has been a lot of discussions on it. I suspect that you have more problems with that in the UK than we do in the US. I am not sure if its due to you being surrounded by a large body of salt water or it its that the NT650/700 has been sold there for a lot longer so the elements have had more time to do their damage.

At least on the 700, most of the rear shock lives in a plastic tunnel so a rear hugger is unnecessary. The only exposed part is the lower shock eye, which has the needle bearing. I attached a simple rubber flap that protects the eye from road spray.
