White stuff in JULY? Welcome to Cheyenne, Wyoming!

On my way home from Spearfish, I was driving through Cheyenne on Sunday, July 13. I had to stop to get evidence of the hail piled up on the side of I-25.

Luckily, I missed the arrival of the white stuff by only about a half hour. I've never ridden in hail before, and I really don't want to try the experience, especially this much.

I came closer. I got out of the rain less than 5 minutes before the hail started. Wasn't fun.

Been caught out in hail several times when I lived in Colorado in the days before wearing proper riding gear all around. Ever try to get your entire body underneath your helmet?
