12 volt Accessory Socket Not Working

I have a 2011 NT700 with 25k on it. Previous owner installed accessory socket, no idea if it was Honda or aftermarket. Socket was working, then I took some body panels off and while putting everything back together, the it stopped working. The two wires that power it should have a 12 volt difference but they do not. I know the socket and charger itself work because:

• Visually inspected all fuses and they're in good shape
• Wired socket directly to the battery and it works

Any ideas on what to check next?

Since it was working before, it must have been something you did
Retrace every step, follow the wiring route for the connector that came off/wire been clipped... you'll have to remove some Tupperware again.
The OEM acc circuit/connection is located behind the LHS upper fairing panel.
