I always wanted an RT and worked out just what I wanted: Last generation Airhead, factory lowered, Electric windscreen, heated grips, cruise, computer...
I am not in the market for another motorcycle but when the one that I thought I wanted shows up 25 miles away, I had to look. I called Chris before I left and asked him to talk me out of buying another motorcycle. I did not test ride it for fear it may follow me home.
The bike was nice and checked the right boxes for me with some extras. I would have bought it just to ride on Easter every year, but this bike is meant to be ridden often and serviced exactly as outlined by BMW (IMHO). Too many bikes already ...

2010 BMW R1200RT, 36,000 miles, heated seats (BMW reg, low, and Sargent) $5,000.

I concur that this is the nicest looking of the RT's. The air intake below the headlamps is the styling cue that attracts me the most. Go ahead, buy it!! It's only money and you only live once!! BTW, the Coyote is NOT the one to talk you out of buying another motorcycle.....

Those RTs were the most comfortable bikes I ever sat on. I only rode one for about 15 miles and if I'd have been a lot richer I would have bought it.

I've always wanted to ride one but never have. I'm afraid if I do then I will get the hots for one. In 2011 I started with the NT and now I'm up to four motorcycles..... Momma's patience is NOT infinite!

I know it was hard for you to pass that one up Joe. I agree with Phil that about ergos. It’s the most comfortable bike for me also. I’m on my 6th “last motorcycle”. Very few motorcyclists ride even one bike enough to warrant ownership. You can never justify owning all your toys. Just buy what you want.

A big part of my decision was that "neglected toys" make me sad. I don't have the space or time to be a collector. That bike should be taken on many long trips.
