I did the same thing a couple of years ago and had to have the wife bring the jumper pack from the car, struggled with using the bigger clips. Just held it against battery terminal & started. After that episode I bought "start monkey" from UK. I've started several friends bikes with it its pretty small but now they have jumper packs for motorcycles that are about the size of a pack of cigarettes.
