Anyone installed an after market Cee Bailey shield? After taking a closer look at mine it seems the bolts have a tap weld . Any comments or input welcome .

A small tap of the welding rod to fuse the bolt to the threading.

Mines gonna take more then a wrench hehe just wondering if there were any tricks other then grinding the old bolts off. Or should I just take it to a bike shop...

Several of us have installed a Cee Bailey's windshield. Don't recall anyone having any problems with the installation. 5 minutes and you're done.

Are you looking at the allen head screw under the plastic cover? There isn't anything to tap weld it to.

The fixed nuts on the underside of the brackets are welded in place.

Removal of the covers is not a "pry off" that requires metal tools. You merely use your fingers to stretch the rubber cover so its attachment lip is free of the plastic bracket, then it comes free.
