I was just on DSS website, considering going with the larger panniers still. I searched 3 times for the NT and it never came up in the search box. After scratching my head I read the following statement on their home page:

"From 1st June'11 we will only sell parts for any Hondas which were sold before 2002
This will allow us to provide a better service for the market that we specialise in"

I emailed them to see if it's still possible to get the larger pans, plus a shipping quote to dear old USA, but I'm guessing it will be a no go. I'll keep you posted if I get a response.

I emailed Bournemouth as well, but when I was oogling the panniers last week DSS was cheaper. I'm hoping DSS has a set in the back room they just want to get rid of at a nice low price...............well, wishful thinking never hurt too much.

Maxwell, try Honda of Bournemouth. They were a bit more expensive, but provided good service.

If you have a choice, specify UPS shipping over Royal Mail. Faster...

I had a great experience with Gordon Bisson also. I ordered my large lids on their ebay store. Nice people too and response to emails rather quickly.

DSS replyed but are unable to help, they are 100% only selling parts for 2001 and earlier bikes.

Email is into Bisson to see what they can offer me.

I did't think to try David Bisson before I ordered from Honda of Bournemouth yesterday.

So Honda does not want to sell us the parts and doesn't want someone else to either...maybe a lawyer can explain this.

I dunno, I read that as DSS was buying Honda products outside Europe and selling them in Europe as genuine Honda stuff. It didn't sound like they were in trouble for shipping things to retail customers outside of Europe. They were in trouble for importing Honda products wholesale from other countries via non-Honda channels.

Isn't the bestselling Honda motorcycle ever, some 100cc workhorse that we don't even get in the first world? It's the bike in those pictures of entire third world families all climbing over each other and hanging on to ride down the road, or with pigs and chickens trussed up and strapped on the back. They sell 'em for a price that in those countries is half a year's average salary, but in the UK is a couple day's salary. They don't want a company like DSS going to China and buying a container ship full of these things, bringing them to the UK and saying "Buy one of these, it's a Honda and you know Hondas are the best!" because it reflects badly on their trademark in the UK where people have higher expectations.
