I can't say enough positive about the First Gear Fargo gloves.
I got a pair about a month ago when visiting Whitehorse Gear in Conway, NH. These gloves have a small amount of insulation and a waterproof liner. I haven't tested the waterproofing yet. I'm not opposed to testing it but it hasn't happened. It's been crisp here in New England and these gloves have been plenty warm enough with temperatures down into the 40s. I went on a three day ride this weekend, we left at noon Friday, and they were perfect.
The fit is good for me. I have somewhat large hands. Okay, I have bunches of bananas at the end of my arms. XL fit great.
Watch the video for more. They appear to be on sale about 10% off.

Dan,
Sounds like the glove for me. So far the only gloves that I have found that fit my large hands are the ones sold at H-D. I think that I'll give those a try. We need to get together. You have to check out my newly registered and inspected Cafe Racer. It is a lot like your Bonneville but a lot older.
