As it's winter time and Miss Doh spends a bit of time inside I keep knocking the mirrors as i go past (small UK garage, not giant US one....) - would like to be able to fold the mirrors back at the stem base by 90deg without affecting the setting when put back - any suggestions or anyone fancy a bit of winter engineering???

Interesting. I don't recall seeing any Torx hardware on my bike, so I went out to the garage and looked at the mirrors. Mine have buttonhead allen screws. When I looked at the fiche on the Ron Ayers site, it shows Torx mounting screws. The screw that mounts the mirror to its base isn't called out because the thing is sold as an assembly. It appears that not all of the bikes were assembled with the same hardware.

Dave, I wonder whether your loose mirror is missing a washer or spacer of some kind. The way to tell would be to take them both apart and compare.
