Very nice video. Thanks. For those of us in Western Washington, it's a bit of a shock to see how dry your area is. A true desert it looks like.

Yep, Ridgecrest is at the very northern edge of the Mojave, where it meets the Eastern side of the Sierras, so it's "high desert". We're at about 2000 feet and surrounded by mountains on all sides. really hot in the summer, but quite nice this time of year.

How many feet of elevation did you gain from the bottom of the valley to that overlook at the end of vid 4?

Elevation change never shows up very well in pictures, especially when you're up close to it.

Great vids Rick, thanks for posting them. It was a really fun ride, we'll have to do it again sometime. Maybe next time we can do the "Sherman Pass Loop" through Sequoia National Forest.
